What is a trundle bed?
A trundle bed is best described as a 2 in 1 bed that has a large drawer type attachment fitted on the side that can be pulled out to fit a mattress inside that can be used as a guest bed. It’s designed to get the most out of floor space and small rooms. It’s great for kids that like having sleepovers or for families that frequently have guests over.
How do trundle beds work?
Typically, trundle beds have a large pull-out platform with wheels that can be pulled out from underneath the main bedframe structure to be used as a second bed. This makes them great space savers as the trundle bed can be pulled out for when guests stay over; avoiding the hassle of moving furniture or blowing up mattresses.
Are trundle beds good for everyday use?
Although a pull out trundle bed can be used frequently, we wouldn’t recommend using them everyday. Instead, we’d recommend investing in an actual bed if you have guests regularly staying over.
Can adults sleep on trundle beds?
Our trundle beds are created for a kids bedroom, however, adults can sleep on a trundle bed, yes. There are a few things to note though. Our trundle bed designs have weight limits of 60 - 70kg and older adults may find it difficult to get up from the floor.
Are trundle beds comfortable?
Yes, trundle beds are comfortable. They can be made even more comfortable depending on the mattress you choose.
Can trundle beds be separated?
Yes, they are detachable which make them convenient, and mobile so you can move them around a room. Trundle beds offer a perfect solution when it comes to limited space.
Can you put a trundle under any bed?
Trundles can be purchased separately. They can fit under a single bed frame and some double bed frame, if there is not middle support leg and depending on the size you can mix and match, just make sure to double check the measurements between the bedframe and floor beneath it.
What is the difference between a trundle bed and a daybed?
A daybed is an every day bed designed to be used for both sitting and sleeping, and can be used as a sofa during the day, hence the term “daybed”. Trundle beds on the other hand, are for occassional use and cannot be used as daybeds, a trundle is designed to house two-twin beds.
The ultimate space saver
Trundle beds offer a great solution both for extra storage and for having guests to stay. Perfect for a sleepover trundle beds have a pull out drawer which doubles as an extra bed. Don’t have your guests sleeping on the sofa, they can have their own comfy bed which you can easily put back away when they leave.

Single bed with trundle
Single beds with trundle for kids also double as storage when not in use as the guest best is essentially a drawer. You may choose to store the guest bedding in there or if the bed does not get used often, it could be storage for whatever you choose.
