The Benefits of Your Child Moving to a Double Bed
Buying a double bed for your child may seem like an extravagance, after all they are so small, do they really need one? But if you have the space, then choosing a double bed can be a great idea, and here’s why…

Space

It may seem slightly counterintuitive but buying a double bed for your little one can actually save you space, bear with us! Once your children hit a certain age then sleepovers become the best thing in the whole wide world. The perfect excuse for your tweenager to stay up all night and gorge on chocolate and popcorn, without being told off. But finding space to sleep the extra child/ren can be a bit of nightmare. Short of getting them to snuggle down in the wardrobe, rummaging around for extra mattresses and duvets can be a challenge, let alone finding places to store them once the children have gone.
Long-Lasting

As we all know, children grow, and often at an alarming rate. This means that we can spend hours lovingly and painstakingly picking the perfect piece of furniture for them, only for it to suddenly become too small and need to be replaced. Buying a double bed for your child ensures longevity (plus it saves money too!). They will never grow out of it, it will last them well into their teenage years, and, hopefully, until they move out of home.
All Grown-Up
Children love to feel grown-up so getting them a double bed will make them feel like mini-adults. Get them involved in picking the bed, so they can be proud of their new grown-up purchase. This may also have the benefit of making them more excited about going to bed (we can but hope!).
