Egg-cellent Easter DIY craft ideas
The Easter holiday is a welcome break for all of us, allowing us to spend time with our family, sleep (ha!) and gorge on chocolate! But trying to find activities to occupy your little people during the holiday can be quite difficult, especially if April lives up to its name and bestows upon us days of April showers.
Here are some cracking craft ideas to help keep you and your children entertained and out of the rain!
Paper Plate Bunnies
This is a really simple and easy Easter craft to enjoy with your little ones. Plus, the items needed can be bought fairly cheaply, so it doesn’t break the bank. Take a look at how to make these cute bunny faces here.
Fingerprint Bunny and Chick Painting
Create an Easter keepsake with this cute fingerprint art. All you need is your child’s finger, a stamp pad, cardboard and a marker pen. So quick to do, and even the littlest one can get involved. (Remember to have some wipes handy though, things may get a tad messy!) To turn it into a keepsake, simply put the finished painting into a picture frame and hang on the wall. Find out how here.
Egg Carton Flower Bouquet
One of our favourite things about Easter is that it signals that Spring has arrived, and with Spring comes beautiful blossoming flowers. Celebrate that Spring has sprung with your children by helping them create their very own flower bouquet.
Woolly Lambs
Or, continuing with the Spring theme, make these absolutely adorable woolly lambs – they make for fantastic Easter ornaments which your kids will love creating. Take a look at the ‘How To’ video.
Paint Filled Eggs On Canvas
And of course, Easter just wouldn’t be Easter without an egg or two (and a bit of mess!) Beware, this should only be attempted outside, so should be saved for a non-rainy day. Take a look at the instructions here (if you dare!)
